How to Make a Goal (Vision) Board That Actually Works

Visualize what you want!

Think big thoughts!

But, someone will always ask, how does one keep all of one’s goals in mind?

You use a tool that you may have heard of.

A tool that is a chance for you to have some fun with “arts & crafts.”

You make for yourself a goal board, sometimes called a “vision board.”

A goal board is a bulletin board on which you place pictures or properly formed goal statements so that you can see them on a daily basis in an effort to keep focus on what you want.

Keep in mind that neither in The Master Key System nor in any of his other works did Charles F. Haanel ever write about a goal or vision board. That doesn’t mean they are any less useful. It just means that at the time Haanel wrote his books, goal boards weren’t used.

Now they are. And boy, are they great!

Here’s how to make one for yourself — one that will actually work and help you attain all of your goals — and how to use it.

Get for yourself a cork board or bulletin board. It doesn’t have to be the biggest size; get the medium-sized one. They can be bought at just about any office supply store or discount store.

You’ll also need some thumb tacks or push pins.

You’ll next need magazines or catalogues or pictures from the Internet that you printed.

Finally, get a pack of 3 x 5 cards.

Once you’ve collected everything, the fun begins.

Clip pictures from the magazines or catalogues of the things that you want in your life.

Perhaps you want a new car. Find a picture of the car you desire (the exact make and model and year) and snip it from the magazine.

Then you are going to post these pictures onto your bulletin board.

If you want to do something for which there is no picture, then write a brief description of it on a 3×5 card and post it. For example, you might write “I am the regional director of my company” on a card. You then post that card onto your board.

Get exact pictures of what you want and not something “sort of like it.” Be specific! If you want your new car to be red, then get a picture of the car you want that is red.

After you assemble your goal board, hang it somewhere where you can easily see it, such as near your desk. (If you can, make a few goal boards and put them in places where you will be able to see them wherever you are in your home!)

Whenever you look at your board, allow yourself to feel good.

Imagine yourself having or attaining those goals.

Do not worry about how you are going to attain them. Just imagine that you have them.

Every time you do this, you are impressing your subconscious mind.

Sooner or later, you will find yourself having that which you desire.

That’s how this works.

This is very powerful. I have never seen it fail for people.

When you look at your goal board, you will trigger your mind to think of those things that you want.

That’s how you set the Law of Attraction in the right direction. Remember, the Law of Attraction is always working — it’s just a matter of getting it going in the right direction.

And when it is set in the right direction, nothing can keep the things you want away from you.
