Use Your Vivd Imagination to Develop New (Better) Habits

You want to change a habit.

You want to make better habits.

Habits that will serve you . . .

. . . that will benefit you . . .

. . . that will make you a better person.

You want to quit smoking.

You want to stop procrastinating.

You don’t want to eat so much.

You want to begin exercising.

Whatever it is that you want to do (or not do) you can do (or stop) by using the power within you: the power of your mind and your vivid imagination.

As Charles F. Haanel wrote in Week Seven of The Master Key System, you will use the process of Idealization and then Visualization.

But where do you begin?

First, you relax. That’s the base of everything you do.

You sit still. You clear your mind. You relax. You let go.

That is your base state.

Next, you imagine vividly.

Smoking: imagine how disgusting a cigarette tastes and how horrible it smells. Train your brain to physically react, such as grimacing or making a yuck face when you even think about smoking.

What are you doing here?

You are re-wiring yourself to believe that smoking tastes horrible and is disgusting.

You are re-wiring . . .

. . . or re-programming . . .

. . . or re-aligning . . .

. . . yourself to a new way of experiencing the world.

Procrastinating: imagine being a person of action. Imagine having boundless energy. Imagine being fearless.

Make to-do lists and then do them. Feel the joy of crossing out an item.

Train your brain to leap into action.

As you imagine . . .

. . . so you will impress upon your subconscious . . .

. . . and so you will do . . .

. . . in life.

You will have formed a new habit.

It might take time.

You might backslide.

Let neither deter you.

Press on!

Persistence rewards those who persist.

You will win.

It’s not — nor has it ever been — a race of speed.

It’s not a race at all.

It’s a journey.

And every journey is about the journey itself.

Your own pace.

Your own goals.

Your own self.

Live it.

Everything you ever wanted to know about everything is right here in these books.
