The Exercise for Week Twelve of The Master Key System Broken Down and Explained

The exercise for Week Twelve of The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel is one for which I receive a lot of questions.

How do I realize my unity with the Omnipotence?

What do these words mean?

How can I do this?

What am I supposed to think about?

Those are just a few of the questions.

So let’s break it down here phrase by phrase.

Let’s explore these phrases so that we get a complete understanding of this exercise because this exercise is important — as they all are.

When you master this exercise, you will be one step closer to expressing yourself completely.

Week Twelve, Point #28.

This week go to the same room, take the same chair, and the same position as heretofore.

As you study The Master Key System and as you practice the exercises, it is highly recommended that you have a regular place where you study and practice. Just as you would go to a gym to work out, you go to your “gymnasium” when you practice your mental exercises.

Be sure to relax. Let go, both mentally and physically; always do this; never try to do any mental work under pressure; see that there are no tense muscles or nerves, that you are entirely comfortable.

Before you practice any Master Key exercise, you have to be in this state.

The first four exercises in The Master Key System get you into this state.

One: You become still.

Two: You control your thoughts.

Three: You relax.

Four: You let go.

Boom: You’re in the state.

This should become your default state. You should be able to get into this state naturally and easily. Practice getting into this state until you can do so.

Believe me, this is the most important thing to master.

Now realize your unity with omnipotence;

Once you’re in the state, realize your unity with omnipotence.

How do you do this?

You allow it to happen.

The omnipotence is everything around you, beyond you, in you . . .

. . . it’s everything.

Just “see” it.

Allow yourself to “see” it.

You won’t actually see it as it will be more of a feeling. You will . . .

. . . realize it.

Re-read what Mr. Haanel wrote in Week Twelve prior to the exercise. It’s all there.

get into touch with this power,

As you allow yourself to realize your unity with omnipotence, you will feel it.

It’s like riding a bike: how does one describe balance?

It’s the same thing here.

You will do it.

Allow yourself.

come into a deep and vital understanding, appreciation, and realization of the fact that your ability to think is your ability to act upon the Universal Mind and bring it into manifestation.

Your mind is a powerful instrument.

Your thoughts are powerful emanations from this instrument.

As you think . . .

. . . as you make connections . . .

. . . as you stretch yourself further . . .

. . . you will bring about the assistance of the Universal Mind.

Things will happen.

Realize that it will meet any and every requirement;

What is the “it” to which Mr. Haanel refers here?

Is it the Universal Mind?

Or is it your ability to think?

Perhaps it is both?

Worry not about it.

Know that when you think — truly think — you will bring into play the Universal Mind.

that you have exactly the same potential ability which any individual ever did have or ever will have, because each is but an expression or manifestation of the One.

Never belittle yourself.

Never believe yourself to be less than.

Napoleon Boneparte was not born a world conquerer.

Steve Jobs was not born a technology visionary.

Abraham Lincoln was not born president.

They used their minds to achieve.

They worked.

They acted in accordance with Universal Law.

They used the same powers and treasures available to you.

All are parts of the whole.

You and I and everyone we know and don’t know are parts of a greater whole.

You — and only you — can choose where you wish to be in that whole.

You — and only you — can decide to do nothing, to think nothing, and let the flow take you.

You — and only you — can go where you wish to go and become what you wish to become.

It’s your life.

Yours — and only yours.

There is no difference in kind or quality — the only difference being one of degree.

No better.

No worse.

You work with what you have.

You ask for that which you do not.

As Archimedes said, “Give me a lever and a place to stand and I will move the earth.”

He would use his mind — his ideas.

What are your ideas?

What are your thoughts?

Think.

Visualize.

Take them further.

Know that when you act, you will be aided by the best that is out there: the Universal Mind.

There is no failure.

There is only the opportunity to achieve.

Successful people read great books because they like to learn about life, the universe, and everything.
