The Greatest Discovery of All the Centuries Is in The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel

In Point #29 of Week 11 of The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel, we discover what the “greatest discovery of all the centuries is.”

29. By far the greatest discovery of all the centuries is the power of thought. The importance of this discovery has been a little slow in reaching the general consciousness, but it has arrived, and already in every field of research the importance of this greatest of all great discoveries is being demonstrated.

This is one of the key points that you should obtain by reading The Master Key System and all of Haanel’s works. This power of thought is our ability to think — to really and truly think. It is our cumulative powers of observation, experimentation, deduction, reasoning, and everything that makes the human being truly a human being rather than an animal.

In the following point (#30), Haanel explains it further. Please notice that this “power of thought” does not refer to just thinking about things and having them “manifest.” Nor does it refer to mind control or any form of telekinesis.

No, it is much greater and much grander than that!

30. You ask in what does the creative power of thought consist? It consists in creating ideas, and these in turn objectify themselves by appropriating, inventing, observing, discerning, discovering, analyzing, ruling, governing, combining, and applying matter and force. It can do this because it is an intelligent creative power.

Your creative power of thought guides you.

It allows you to do the things necessary to bring your visions into reality.

You think. You plan. You do.

When you take your thoughts from your “narrow compass of self” (Point #31) and allow them to flow into the world by thinking great thoughts and learning and using great ideas, you touch the Infinite — you become more than what you are because you touch all that ever was and all that ever will be.

32. From this process of self contemplation comes inspiration which is creative intelligence, and which is undeniably superior to every element, force, or law of nature, because it can understand, modify, govern, and apply them to its own ends and purposes and therefore possess them.

As you fill yourself with great thoughts and new ideas, you will become inspired.

Your creative intelligence — inspiration — will work with what you have and work with the objective world and allow you to master it.

33. Wisdom begins with the dawn of reason, and reason is but an understanding of the knowledge and principles whereby we may know the true meaning of things. Wisdom, then, is illuminated reason, and this wisdom leads to humility, for humility is a large part of Wisdom.

All of the things that are coming to you — and that will come to you — do so as you “know the true meaning of things.” Once again, not flights of fancy or day-dreams, but true knowledge that is learned and applied. As you experience and experiment, you gain wisdom, that “illuminated reason” that differentiates the winner from the loser, the great from the banal, the light from the dark.

Look at the great businesses and discoveries both past and present. Look at, for example,  Virgin Galactic. The vision of one man is making commercial space flight a reality. The stuff of science fiction is about to become the stuff of everyday life.

What grand goals do you have?

What is it you want to accomplish?

Let this be your inspiration to get started.

Look at this because you like the greatest things…
